      <image:title>Environments - Wan Shi Tong's Library</image:title>
<image:caption>Inspired by the Avatar: The Last Airbender series, I redesigned the look and feel of a location in the episode “The Library”, in which an ancient temple containing generations of knowledge is partially buried beneath the sand of a vast desert. I aimed to redesign the location to fit plausibly into a photo-realistic setting, while still keeping a sense of fantasy. The spire itself was built and textured in Maya, rendered with Redshift. Initial layout was done in 3D in Maya, using real world height maps to maintain depth and size. The scene was finally brought together using Photoshop and photobashing techniques.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Environments - ALIEN Habitat Concept</image:title>
<image:caption>Inspired by Alien and 2014’s Alien: Isolation, I designed this environment to depict an earlier moment in protagonist Ellen Ripley’s life. I mixed visual cues and design elements to create a mix of the two stories, in a time where Ripley and her daughter would have had the opportunity to spend time together in Ellen’s off time. Built using Maya, textured in Photoshop; additional grunge texturing from Nikki Mohler; pillow and bedsheet from Turbosquid.</image:caption>
